Portfolio
Thank you for taking an interest in my work! My portfolio consists of two parts. The first part is a set of cases: they're about setting up and merging lists and databases, designing and coding templates, creating lightbox signup forms and full campaign management. They illustrate what I generally do for a living very well.

The second part is about my template work specifically: a little bit of background with a series of sample work and links to real life templates and emails that I created. Enjoy!
Case #1: AlphaDynamik
In February 2013, Anthony basically told me: "Ray, you're not going to believe this, but we've been sending out faxes to promote our business. We'd like to give email marketing a shot, but we don't really know how and where to begin. Would you be interested in helping us make this transition?".

I was, so I designed and developed a flexible and responsive MailChimp template that fit his needs. He's been sending me text and images on an almost weekly basis ever since - trusting me to set up his campaigns to go out to a list that I helped configure and that I still manage. I send him a quick test when I'm done, after which he takes a final look at things before pressing "Send". It's a smooth operation, and Anthony is clearly happy about the way things turned out.

Case #2: Barvee
Barvee is Belgium's number one travel promotion agency. CenterParcs, Neckermann, Landal and TravelBird are just a few of the many organizations they've partnered with over the years. Bart (the owner) had been using MailChimp for a while, but he felt he wasn't making the most of his email strategy.

So...we moved and merged his subscribers (over 1 million of them, spread out over a dozen lists) into a single Copernica database, removing duplicates and bounces, preserving unsubscribes from the past and implementing a procedure that now allows him to tag links in order to enrich subscriber data between multiple brand websites (among which Zomerbrochure.be and Reisfanaten.be).

The result: better targeted emails.

Additionally, I designed and developed a series of responsive email templates that Bart now uses to send out roughly 10 million emails each month. His database continues to grow - courtesy of the slide-in signup form I developed for his WordPress websites.
Templates & Emails
Big...
I've produced more emails and templates than I can remember. I've also designed many of them, but I have no problems turning an existing design into responsive email HTML. I work with a number of agencies that provide me with PSDs and / or PDFs on a regular basis, and as a result I've coded emails for organizations like:

  • WeTransfer
  • American Express
  • Western Union
  • Time Warner Cable
  • Smithsonian Institution
  • List.ly
  • Jennifer Zeuner Jewelry
  • Carrefour
  • Praxis
  • Sanoma
  • IDG Nederland (Webwereld)
  • De KNHB
  • Zilveren Kruis
  • Olympia Uitzendbureau
  • Centraal Beheer Achmea
  • Endemol Design
  • Hotels.nl
  • De Wit Schijndel
  • De KNMV
  • DA / DIO
  • Eneco
  • Remeha

...and small
On the other hand, I've also worked with a lot of people who run a business all by themselves (Wedspiration, Kiek Hip Wear, Leiderschap is Core Business - just to name a few). The label "small" refers to the number of people working at their company, not to their impact on the world, obviously. This is all just to say that I don't care whether you're from the corporate world or you're self employed - I'd be happy to work with every single one of you!

Samples
Below are some examples of emails I created. I can't take credit for designing them, except for the one for Webwereld (I did design most of the other samples on this page though), but I coded all of them.

(Quick tip: if you open these files on a desktop or laptop, resize your browser window to see how the emails respond to a narrow viewport - like on a mobile phone.)
